Sr Sung Nghiem

Bhikshuni Chân Sùng Nghiêm, a native of Central Vietnam, ordained as a novice nun in 2005, at the age of 32. Prior to her ordination, she taught a number of years as a history teacher in middle schools.She received the lamp transmission from the Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh in 2012 at Plum Village, France. As a Dharma Teacher, she teaches and guides the younger nuns by offering classes in precepts, sutras, and various traditional healing methods. The bamboo stick Qigong class she teaches every morning in the monastery is very popular and well-attended by retreatants of all ages. She also likes writing calligraphy and teaches people how to do it.
