K2347-2: AIMLESSNESS - a door to liberation

24.11.2023 - 26.11.2023

"You are already the person you want to be. So be that person.” --- Thay

We often run through our days to achieve a specific goal in the future.
We cook - to eat later. We work – to earn money. We do sports - to be fit.

All activities become a means that serve an end.
Everything becomes an object that we put in front of ourselves.
Loosing the present moment, we lean into the future.
This creates pressure and unfulfillment.
Our eyes, hearts and minds are only directed to the result - and we are no longer in touch with the joy of doing what we do and being who we are.
“You are enough”

If we experience ourselves, our activities in a spirit of aimlessness, we can already experience the joy and richness of this moment.

"There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way."
Thich Nhat Hanh teaches us that even in our most difficult moments, all that is good, true and beautiful is already there.
We can live by allowing the good, the true, the beautiful to manifest in every moment.

Aimlessness teaches us: we already are what we want to become. All we need is to be fully present, to live fully in the here and now, and to touch the miracle of our life.

Aimlessness is one of the Three Doors of Liberation taught by the Buddha along with emptiness and signlessness.
Through a variety of exercises, meditations, dharmatalks, looking deeply and practicing together, we will touch the joy of aimlessness.
