German Retreat with the monks and nuns from the EIAB and Plum Village

In order to live our life fully, we need to live in an awakened way. Then we shall be able to be aware of the great beauty and diversity of life and our relationships and our own presence in life will become meaningful .

In this retreat we shall learn to be open to the riches as well as the difficulties of life in order to encounter everything with kindness and compassion.

We shall look deeply into our self in order to develop true love in our own life.

When we live in mindfulness it enables us to live in relationships which work because they are based on respect and loving speech and can bring us peace and freedom.

Most of the Dharma Talks will be in English with consecutive translation into German. There will be an English-speaking sharing group.

14. - 19.08. Patience is a Mark of Love

Registration until 07 August 2017

Dutch Retreat with the monks and nuns from the EIAB and Plum Village

We are always coming up against our own limitations as well as those of our family members, friends, work colleagues and people in society. We can often become impatient and critical when we come across weaknesses and shortcomings in ourselves and in others.

If we wish to train ourselves to be more patient we need to practise mindfulness. When we are  more patient we can learn to see and understand ourselves and others as we and they really are. When we can take a step back fro the situation we can recognise our own pain and the suffering of the other and deal with the situation with understanding and compassion.

Patience helps us to give the each other space, which we need in order to discover and develop our full potential. With the help of the practice of patience we can lead a life free of judgmentalism and find the ability to forgive.

In this retreat we want to nourish our patience from our heart rather than our intellect so that we can base our relationships on deep insight  and understanding in a loving way.

The Dharma Talks and other activities will be in English or Dutch with consecutive translation.

There will be a children’s programme in Dutch and teens programme in Dutch and English.
