K17137 : PATHS LEADING OUT OF LONELINESS

07.12.2017 - 10.12.2017

Course 4J with Thay Phap An and Sister Song Nghiem

We live at a highly accelerated pace in our society and therefore loneliness, stress, fear and anxiety have become frequent visitors - sometimes they are with us to stay. Yet there is a different way of living. The practice of mindfulness pays attention to the breath of Buddha and has been used by many generations of practitioners for healing and transformation throughout several centuries. This practice is a basic element in the synchronization of body and mind, which is essential for everyone who meditates.
In this course we will study all the teachings on the breath as they are listed in the Anapanasati Sutra. We will learn to apply the Sutra’s insights to our present situation by embracing, transforming and letting go of difficult emotions.
We will also practice sitting- and walking- meditation, as well as Tai Chi-movements. These practices will help us to live fully, tapping all our energies, and step out of our deep loneliness.

Course language: English and German
