K17136 : ARRIVAL In THE NOW – Healing through Sound, Breathing and Gong-Meditation

01.12.2017 - 03.12.2017

Course with Marc Iwaszkiewicz; monastic Advisor: Brother Phap Man
Gongs, gong drums, singing bowls, overtone singing, the didgeridoo as well as other sounds suitable for practicing meditation will accompany us into stillness. Enjoy the time together, learn simple, effective techniques for breathing, relaxing the body and making sounds that will enrich your mindfulness practice. This leads to stability, satisfaction, inner peace, concentration and more. The retreat includes sound concerts by the course leader as well as active exercises with the instruments for the participants. No previous experience is necessary. Instruments will be made available.
Transmissions of vibration by the sounds of the gong allow the human body to vibrate and these vibrations have a healing and clearing effect. These techniques may be used for sound massages, sound travel, relaxation, grief work, for concerts and also in shamanic work.
The goal of this weekend is to become familiar with the basic sound of a big gong (ca. 80 cm) and to be able to work with several gongs and different mallets. We will dive deep into sound and silence entering wide inner spaces. Gong meditation helps us to reflect our spirit and be fully present.
Course language: German
