A course with Tineke Spruytenburg and Miles Dunmore

‘Happy Teachers Change the World!’ wrote Zenmaster Thich Nhat Hanh, and from this WakeUp Schools was born. This weekend is designed for everybody working in any kind of school, regardless of the work they do, administrators as well as teachers, who are willing to explore the richness of the practice.
From Friday 19:00 till Sunday 16:00, we will explore how to become a Happy Teacher by practicing together and looking at ways to touch happiness in the present moment.

Miles Dunmore teaches English at the American School in London. A lay practitioner in the Plum Village tradition, Miles travels each year with students and colleagues from ASL to practice at Plum Village. Tineke Spruytenburg


Tineke Spruytenburg

Tineke Spruytenburg (1954) graduated in Pedagogical sciences. After an academic career she became a qualified teacher at the age of 48. She worked in basic and special education.
She has been a member of the Order of Interbeing since 2006 and lived in Plum Village for two years. In 2007 she visited Vietnam with Thay and the four-fold Sangha.
