K18133: THE SUTRA ON YOUTH AND HAPPINESS

29.11.2018 - 02.12.2018

.

Course with Thay Phap An and Sister Song Nghiem

The Sutra on Youth and Happiness describes the encounter between a beautiful goddess and a young monk named the Venerable Samiddhi. Their dialogue contains the essence of Buddhist teachings regarding pleasure and true happiness.

We will enjoy studying this sutra with the help of our mindfulness practice in order to find answers to the following questions:
Why shouldn’t we enjoy the Five Desires in this world? Why would we give up pleasures in the distant future and enjoy the happiness of this moment?

We will have the opportunity to look deeper into the three complexes: the inferiority complex, the equality complex and the superiority complex. We will learn to enjoy our lives in greater freedom and with true happiness.

Language: English and German
