K2116-1: MINDFUL ACTION - ACHTSAMER AKTIVISMUS - A retreat for peace, environmental and social justice activists

21.04.2021 - 25.04.2021

A retreat with Prof. Dr. Uli Pfeifer-Schaupp, Simone Fenger, Brix Tramsen, Tashy Endres, Karim Manji.

Many of us are wholeheartedly and tirelessly engaged to create a better world through peace, environmental and social justice activism. Because we work with dedication and in often challenging environments, many of us are facing the risk of burn-out or experience frustration and despair. How can we be engaged and face suffering, and still take good care of ourselves and our well-being?
The practice of mindfulness can help us to touch a stable source of peace and joy within, recognize and transform unwholesome habits in ourselves and our groups, and gives us the strength to continue engaging together in the long run.
In this retreat we aim to create a safe(r) space in which each of us can learn about the mindfulness practice and how to apply it to our daily lives. We will hear sharings from Plum Village monastics about the 'engaged Buddhism' approach and frompeople who already practice
