K17138 : BODY PRAYER, DANCE AND CONTEMPLATION DURING ADVENT - A silent course
07.12.2017 - 10.12.2017
Course with Beatrice Grimm; monastic Advisor: Sister Bi Nghiem
All the excitement before Christmas distracts our attention to superficial ‘necessities’ and leaves us empty and exhausted.
Practicing body prayer, dance and contemplation (sitting quietly for ca. 3 hours every day) leads us into the presence of our bodies and helps to open our hearts for contemplation. The body is a reliable companion into this reality found beyond words, concepts and images.
Body prayer can function like an inner anchor, helping us to pause.
We will experience Advent as a precious time of stillness. We won’t be distracted.
We will practice noble silence in this course.
Course language: German
