We meditate together while sitting – still & guided – and while walking – slowly and in the forest.
In addition, we practice loving speech and deep listening during mindful sharing.
In doing so, we cultivate abiding in the present moment to transform suffering and find peace for ourselves and for the world.
Further, there we be introductions into eating meditation, metta meditation, and sessions of total relaxation.
This retreat is suitable for beginners as well as for advanced practitioners of meditation.
We focus on basic meditation practices taught by Zen-master Thich Nhat Hanh in the Plum Village meditation school.

Alexander first came to the monastery in Plum Village in 2012. There he received the five mindfulness exercises and was given the name: Beginners Mind of the Heart (Tam Ban Dau).
After graduation, he moved back to Plum Village, where he found a home as a long-term guest for a year and a half.
