Join this retreat to explore how we can leverage mindfulness and Buddhist wisdom when we buy and sell, market products and services, engage with customers, pitch clients or employers, and fundraise.


Everyone sells something, so everyone is welcome to join us. Professionals in sales, marketing, fundraising, and customer service will feel particular affinity with this course. Entrepreneurs and self-employed friends who wish to integrate mindfulness, clarity, and ethical practices into their work will also discover the many ways in which the topic can apply to their business. Employees may notice how they sell their skills to employers or pitch projects and ideas. Whether you are looking to navigate the challenges of your field or explore mindful relationship to business more broadly, this retreat aims to spark valuable insights.


Why mindfulness of selling? Sales is more than a transaction; it’s about relationships and the impact our work has on others. The way we sell can either bring joy and trust or stress, manipulation, and dissatisfaction. This retreat focuses on mindful selling, where the product, price, and customer’s needs are aligned authentically, without pressure or psychological tricks.

• What all am I selling? Beyond products and services, what ideas or reputation or talents do I promote?


• How does mindfulness change the way I sell and connect with customers?


• How can ancient wisdom practices and the Dharma support my daily life in sales, marketing, customer relations and related work?


• How do I measure success? How do I balance sales goals with my values?


• What effects does internalized market-driven thinking have on my personal well-being? When is it enough? When am I enough?


• How can I cultivate joy and integrity in offering my goods and services?


• How does AI impact sales and ethical decision-making?


The retreat is open to everyone who is interested in bringing more mindfulness and clarity into the process of offering services and goods. Members of the Network for Mindful Business will share their own experiences to kickstart the dialog.
