LGBTQIA+ Retreat: Radical Love – True Inclusivity
LGBTQIA+ Retreat *
A retreat with Maru Moonlion and Desiree Damen, and honored guests Françoise Pottier and Shelley Anderson
We are happy to announce that, we will again be offering a retreat in the EIAB to everyone practising in the Plum Village tradition who identifies under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
During these days together, we wish to co-create spaces of mindful encounter, characterized by openness and loving kindness — spaces where we can open up, be visible and share ourselves with the Sangha. We want to support and encourage each other so we can share both our pain and our joy, and simply enjoy being together. We honour and celebrate both our own uniqueness and our common connectedness, recognizing the wondrous diversity of life.
These times call us, as ever, to be brave, steadfast and true in our love for all aspects of ourselves and those we bond with, as well as for all we struggle with. With our collective energy of mindfulness, we will practice to strengthen and understand more deeply our capacity for true inclusivity, one of the four qualities of the mind of love.
This year we have the pleasure of being joined by our online Dharma Teachers of last year. Our team will also include Pia Schaefer.
We look forward to practicing together. We assume that participants are familiar with the practices of sitting, walking and eating meditation, stopping with the bell and Dharma Sharing. This time, in addition to our Plum Village practices and the sound and movement meditative practices of the past years, we will explore the use of Gathas (short poems that support mindfulness and concentration).
